As my contribution to this forum, I have registered the domain name audubontalks.com (at my personal expense) and forwarded it to this forum. That means that when anyone types www.audubontalks.com into their address bar, they will go to this forum. I did this for a couple of reasons. 1) In the unlikely event this forum gets hijacked or accidentally deleted by a 5 year old child, I can reset "audubontalks.com" to forward people to whatever forum is set up as a replacement. 2) I think we lost some people from the old forum when it was deleted. If they Google "audubon talks" they have a better chance finding www.audubontalks.com than www.audubonuncensored.proboards.com. I have Tyler's e-mail address and those of some other key people who post here. So again, in the unlikely event that anything happens, www.audubontalks.com will take you to the place where this group has reassembled. Just for the record, before Tyler realized his kid accidentally deleted this forum and that Proboards could restore it, he already had a new forum under construction. www.audubontalks.com is totally independent of anything that happens at Proboards and can be set to go anywhere. Never again will one individual be able to take a forum away from 2300 Audubon Talkers.

Thanks Vince. The good news is that you may find some of the regulars who contributed some very useful information. The bad news is that you found me too.
Nice solution.

I noticed that someone from our forum has posted on the "People Who Grew Up in Audubon, NJ" Facebook page where to Find the new Audubon Talks forum (this one) and linked to this forum. I also see that some members of "People Who Grew Up in Audubon, NJ" have already come over and registered here. Again, if you grew up in Audubon, this site is very rich in content and photos and you will probably want to visit it and participate in some great nostalgic discussions going on there.. ml-in.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&gid=68975205125

We have had an onslaught of new members registering today, as well . This is due to the efforts of "dbouski" who moderates "People Who Grew Up in Audubon, NJ" ( ml-in.facebook.com/group.php?gid=68975205125 ) and e-mailed all of his 960 members asking them to come here and support our forum. Thanks Dennis! Now were Talking Audubon!

We have also had within the past 24 hours 3 Staff Members, 37 Members, 196 Guests On-Line That would make the head count over 230 and close to the average that we had daily on the old board. In case some of the new people wondered what happened to the original "Audubon Talks", here is a short synopsis. When Roy died in December, as guy named "Bob" appeared on the board and said he was the original administrator and would contact Proboards to take control of the board. Zaney logged on the board and exposed "Bob" as Mr Audubon. If you know the old board, you can imagine what it would be like with Mr A running it. Mr A freaked out and said he was going to destroy the board on December 29th. Tyler, who is Audubon born and bred and an active duty Marine Sergeant established this board. Tyler and I started putting up links to this new board and Mr A "IP Banned" us along with Zaney to shut us up. A man of his word (for once), Mr Audubon deleted the old Audubon Talks on December 29th along with 2300 members and over 20,000 posts dating back to 2003. Tyler set up a beach head here and we tried to get as many old members as possible over here. Some longtime posters from the old board like Johnnypeppers, Theincrownd and Billmelater are also moderators. Tyler along with the other moderators run a tight ship, things here are orderly and your private information is secure. So, that's the story - if you did not know it.

Interestingly, though, Vince ~ If a former BOARD member, hits their favorites: audubontalks.proboards19.com/index.cgi The only message they will see will be: We could not load the forum that you are attempting to access. Please try again later.
