Well I'm in Audubon right now, and I must say WTF. Really, is it really that hard to shovel away this white nuisance so you don't park in the middle of the road. Even better, isn't it common sense that if the guy across the street parked this way you don't park next to him on the other side. I mean, come on now, you know when you go out side and see the mirrors to both cars are missing it is probably your own fault. It was comical watching a guy who obviously couldn't fit try and then...................... scrape...... and I just couldn't help but laugh when the owner came running out screaming. Don't worry this wasn't in Audubon but one of our Neighboring towns. It's your own fault. Dig the two feet out to the curb and park like anybody else. It's like trying to dodge IED's in Baghdad out there. Luckily I have 4WD and enough torque and traction to just drive through all this beautiful snow as my son likes to put it. Hey buddy, how about I hand you this shovel and I'll come back in like 3 hours and you can just tell me how beautiful it is again.
Also off subject, what is the deal with the Speed detector sign thing on the corner of Hopkins and Pine. Is it so the @sshole's coming out of Paul VI can see how much faster they can go each day. Now if it has a camera in it that would make more sense but i doubt it.
Better yet, Why was one side of town plowed better then the other?
Which side of town got plowed better?
I live on Hopkins/Hood, snow or not, every car I have ever parked in the street gets sideswiped. Everyone in our neighborhood parks partly on the grass strip to keep most of the car out of the road. (come see sometime). One time one of my cars got rear- ended and totaled by a kid from Paul VI who claimed, "he was tyeing his shoe while driving". While I was giving the kid first aid for a head laceration, his mother pulled up and complained because I called the Police and an Ambulance. She said it was a minor accident (both cars were totaled and had to be towed)
