From what I understand he's been shopped, but they haven't got the right deal yet. While McNabb is certainly talented, I think it's time for a new start for this team, since we seem to have hit a wall with him at the helm. Let's hope we get a good price for him, and I wish him success as well.

Good, its time for a change. Notice they traded McNabb in the division, which pretty much tells you how much of a 'threat' they consider him to be.

What seems to be going unnoticed is the number of other players traded or released and a general house cleaning and rebuilding (though they deny it) It all comes down to the last game of last season. Had the Eagles won the last game against Dallas, they would have been the #1 or #2 seed, gotten a bye and home field advantage. They lost, it was the second loss to Dallas in the regular season and finally, a third loss in the playoffs. The Eagles can't beat the Cowboys with the team they fielded last year. If they can't beat Dallas, the can't win the NFC East. It is as simple as that. It is time for a house cleaning, you can see the team getting "younger" and it is time for Kolb to take over. It made no sense for McNabb to hang around another year and put off the rebuild. The next question is what happens to Andy Reid? With McNabb at the helm in Washington, look for the Eagles to finish no better than third behind the Cowboys and Redskins.

The addition of McNabb at this stage won't be enough, but we will see. I think it was time to move now while he had some value left. He was argueably a great quarterback, certainly a Hall of Fame one at some point. But, he couldn't get it done in the big game. Were the reasons always his fault? No. Was he going to get it done at this stage in his career? No. They made the best choice.
