In the late 1960's I worked for the City of Camden. Before George Norcross, Angelo Errichetti was the "party boss", a guy working behind the political scene to make things happen. I knew Errichetti. He was well liked by almost everyone and fought to protect the little guy. He was also the bridge between the money people in Haddonfield and Cherry Hill and the massive voter base in the City that would swing elections. Eventually, Errichetti moved from the sidelines to the front lines politically and served a couple of terms as Mayor of Camden and later, as a State Senator. His demise came as as result of an FBI "sting" operation called ABSCAM in which FBI agents posed as Arab Sheiks and bribed various government officials, later arresting many of them including Errichetti and then NJ US Senator Pete Williams. After 1980, Errichetti disappeared from the political scene, never to return and some 30 years later, I have wondered whatever happened to him. Today, I found out. www.philly.com/philly/news/new_jersey/20100404_Kevin_Riordan__Camden__Abscam___I_have_survived_.html

I agree with this quote from the interview..."President Obama," he says during our 90-minute conversation, "is leading this country to be the next France."
Of course, I don't know about you but I have no DESIRE to be the next France.
