What happened to the thread by Mr. Audubon from the weekend? It was the most interesting thread this board has seen in months and I can't seem to find it.

I'm sure it was like you said, it degenerated rapidly and was removed. It isn't really surprising, although it was a shame for those of us that were trying to intelligently discuss taxes and solutions.
I'm going to assume that is what people found interesting about it, and not the trash talking nonsense.

It drifted off topic into a discussion about Mr A restarting the old website. Maybe someone could start another thread about local taxes.

It was removed due to users talking about assassinating someone. Therefore, it was not about anything that Mr Audubon posted or the fact that he talked about reviving the old website, if I read this correctly. Mr. Audubon was in no way censored.

I didn't even read anything he posted. Got a PM about something, read the last post then deleted the thread due to what was posted about assassinating someone. Couldn't care less what Mr. Audubon was posting about, only the legal problems that could result in what the last post was. Instead of reading through the rest of the nonsense it was quicker to just delete the thread. Why?, What was was Mr. Audubon posting about. Among a list of other things, he said he was going to re-establish the old board and put up a link to a message that he had sent to Proboards asking them to do that. Their response is that they could if he supplied certain information. Then he tried to recruit someone from our board to run it. He got one offer from one poster here to be the admin. So far I have not seen the old board resurrected. Maybe he has decided to forget the project, due to an apparent lack of interest shown by the folks on this board in getting involved with him in his venture.

It appears that Mr Audubon has decided not to go with Proboards and chosen the Twitter route instead. twitter.com/mraudubon

He then posted a link to the proboards site that said HE COULD renew the site and then the thread was deleted. Be honest! Dave

Dave Mr A sent a message to Proboards asking if he could get the forum re-started even though five months have passed. They said yes. support.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=support&thread=352512&page=1Then Mr A came back here looking for a volunteer to be the admin. Only one person stepped forward. That was 5 days ago and no board has reappeared. Maybe there is a total lack of interest from those on this board and Tyler's remark, " Why?, What was was Mr. Audubon posting about", was the equivalent of a sarcastic yawn, "so what......who cares." Try to read between the lines, Dave. And, Dave think of it this way -- even you, his biggest fan, didn't volunteer to help him out.

That is lulz worthy. If it comes back I can see the 'advertising' campaign. "Come back to Audubon Talks, same old harrassment, same old BS, same old e-mail and IP address harvesting!"
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

That is lulz worthy. If it comes back I can see the 'advertising' campaign. "Come back to Audubon Talks, same old harrassment, same old BS, same old e-mail and IP address harvesting!" HAHAHAHAHAHA! Once Mr A had an e-mail address, he would "Google' it to see what connections came up (other places it appeared) and use that information to identify people on Audubon Talks. I warned people, for years, that this was happening - but it appears that members of the old board were too enchanted by all the "inside information" that he was posting to worry about the real people he was harassing on and off the board and reputations that he was destroying with half-truths and outright lies or where and how he was getting "inside information". Good riddance to the old board and Mr Audubon along with it.
