I took the time to find this forum and I want to make something clear. I welcome anyone who wishes to discuss my position by emailing me at Zaney@zaneys.com with a subject of FORUM.
First off, I do not know who Tyler is nor do I care to. If Tyler is willing to run a forum, I can do no more than wish success. I can promise you it will be trying and troubling especially when you are challenged for denying people the ability to speak their mind, even when it goes against your grain. When you start getting email to remove posts or ban someone as I did in my forum on Audubon-NJ.com I hope you can continue to maintain a place for Audubon folks to chat.
I can honestly and truthfully say that I have NEVER accepted money or gifts of any sort for things I have done with forums in the past or present. And I will also say I have no intention of being a part of this or any future forum to prevent that accusation for arising, although I am sure you will be accused of being me.
The last posting in the old forum I read was from Boxman and several others. These posters made accusations and allegations that I assure you were half or total untruths and nothing more than worried and desperate people trying to discredit me and slander me after outing Bob as being Mr. Audubon. Perhaps there were reasons for their concerns given what they stated.
Proboards has been contacted and directed to retain information from the last 90 days for an indefinite period.
Long time forum visitors will remember I started the first discussion forum in Audubon. It proceeded on after I shut down my version and only after Roy took it over did I feel that people could honestly feel safe with their indenties being safe when posting.
I could not in all good conscience allow Bob to resume administrator once Roy passed away.
Roy was very honest, even handed and discreet and I loved his approach in not wanting to know who people that posted on the forum were. His humor was legendary. I will miss him as many others will.
I now no longer feel an obligation to any discussion forum in Audubon now that Tyler has taken this on. I have no idea who Tyler is nor do I want to know. I only wish Tyler well.
I wish this forum success. I assure everyone who knows me personally or though discussion forums only that Barry Zane has nothing to do with the administration of this forum now or in the future.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Barry E. Zane Sr.
